 If you thought the Hearst
Castle was the only example of power collecting in California, you're
missing one of the more surreal manifestations of early Glendale wealth. In
the early 1920s, John Brockman had the fairytale tower carefully moved from
Los Angeles along with its living quarters and garage and reinstalled in
the present hillside location. Approximately 150 feet northeast of the curb
address, at the end of a narrow cypress lined drive, the Brockman Clock
Tower is the ultimate gate house for the newly remodeled mansion and the
