Fairy tale forest setting in a maple grove.

Outside of Griffith Park, this
is probably the cities largest and oldest remaining grove of maples. A
complete recreation facility, the park offers basketball courts, barbecues,
picnic tables and acres and acres of rainbow hewed, leaf strewn paths to
enjoy the filtered canopy. Along the west ridge of the park you may find a
seasonal stream that meanders through the neighboring yards of Fernwood
Street. The few-square blocks resemble rain forest more than city and if
childhood memory serves, that creek hatches bullfrogs big enough to scare
anybody. -- WEBSITE-TO-GO!
