Karen Crane, daughter of TV actor Bob Crane of "Hogan's Heroes,"
is the sole proprietor of La-Dee-Da Antique Center. She's as warmly
inviting as her shop. Logic dictates the items for sale were long ago
extinct, but row upon row of carefully placed china, lovingly cared for
porcelain dolls, vintage and un-faded Hawaiian shirts, even crisp and
unsullied paper products like cards and board games argue otherwise. The
rustic cinder block building is tamed by a myriad of beaded lampshades,
wrought-iron gazebos draped with chiffon, bubbling fountains and a canopy
of twinkling, celebrative lights. The space has about 50 dealer spaces,
which guarantees ever-rotating treasures.
