Inn on Mt. Ada The house that gum built.

User Rating:
Originally
built as a summer home for chewing gum magnate William Wrigley, this 1921
Georgian colonial-style mansion also served as home base when the Wrigley
family brought their baseball teams to Catalina for spring training. Today,
restored and operated under a grant from the University of Southern
California, the cliff-top home is an exclusive inn, guaranteed to never again
suffer the neglect and emptiness that haunted it for many years. Nightly
banquets and exquisite service have rendered the inn virtually sold-out on
a year-round basis. Gorgeous terraced gardens, private balconies and
authentic period furnishings ensure a gum-smacking grin of
self-satisfaction should you be fortunate enough to find an available room.
Meals, complimentary golf cart and unlimited access to the bar and wine
cellar make the price of admission seem more of a bargain. To awaken in the
canopied bed in the master suite is to greet the world on new terms. -- WEBSITE-TO-GO!
