 The Undersea World of Jacque
Cousteau? Not quite. Think of an octopus's' garden in the shade and you're
there. Occupying prime real estate beneath the Santa Monica boardwalk,
fantasy horses prance in circles above in the old carousel, while fantastic
sea horses roam their salt water range below. A nonprofit arm of the
University of California, the museum provides a hands-on experience for
little fingers; a rich and soggy variety of invertebrates and fish are at
their tender mercies in the well maintained touch tanks and man-made reefs.
Midweek field trips can be scheduled for classes and other private parties
