 Chalk this one up to experience;
everybody wants to be Italian. And why not? You can be loud, emotional,
eccentric, and in this annual street festival you are encouraged to draw on
the sidewalks. Artists of all ages will transform Town Center Drive into
various Arts of The Ages. Thousands of visitors are expected to parade by
these temporary temperas. Check the official website, pick up a sponsor and
join in the fray of faux frescos.
An Italian tradition dating back to the 16th Century, sidewalk galleries of
chalk work enjoy a renaissance in such fine art enclaves as Santa Barbara,
San Rafael and San Louis Obisbo. Another Italian tradition in full swing is
eating. A Taste Of Valencia begins Saturday evening at 6pm. You'll be able to
savor Mediterranean delicacies from all over the Santa Clarita Valley. Good

My son
and I had a fantastic time. We watched great performances on the street and
on the stage, we ate great snacks from the vendors and BEST OF ALL we were
able to paint a section of the street in the specially designated area for
the kids -- both big and small. I highly recommend this event for family
fun.
